Externi HDD nejde připojit
Nemůžu se dostak k obsahu externiho disku Maxtor One Touch Plus. Po připojení k přes USB Winy poznaji že jsem neco připojil ale oznamí chybu - Win 7 myslim chyba 42(zařízení oznámilo chybu), win xp s orig driverama to nerozpozna a Linux ani ťuk.
Nejspíš to bude tím že jsem disk špatně odpojil a to tak že jsem šupem povytahoval kabely.

V tom pripade odisla skor elektronika v boxe. Ktory mas presne model? Nejaky starsi, alebo Maxtor OneTouch 4 Plus?

mam 4 plus. dioda neblika ale sviti takze podle vyrobce zadny problem. firewire vyzkoušet nemuzu protoze ho nemam v PC. Linux ale myslim psal neco v tom smyslu ze ten disk si mysli ze je pouzivanej a ze mam ve windows ho bezpecne odebrat nebo pouzit nejaky prikaz v terminalu. A terminal nemusim tak jsem zkusil to v těch winch ale nic. podruhe se uz to neukazalo
V Linuxe mozes najprv hned po pripojeni USB HDD skusit prikaz dmesg | tail -n 25 . Tym vypises poslednych 25 riadkov bufferu so spravami jadra. Vo vypise by si mal najst nieco taketo (v mojom pripade je sa jedna o pripojenie USB kluca, ale pre USB HDD by sa to asi nemalo velmi lisit):

Mozes skusit poodpajat vsetky USB zariadenia okrem tych ktore nevyhnutne potrebujes (asi len mys a klavesnica). V Linuxe potom skus prikaz
echo Y > /sys/module/usbcore/parameters/old_scheme_first
(s pravami roota). Potom pripoj USB HDD, pockaj cca minutu a posli vypis celeho bufferu jadra. Vypis mozes ziskat prikazom
dmesg > /home/$USER/dmesg.txt
(v tvojom domovskom adresary sa vytvori textovy subor dmesg.txt obsahujuci vysutp prikazu dmesg).
Od urcitej verzie linuxoveho jadra sa pouziva schema "indexovania" USB zariadeni podobna ako v OS Windows (preto mozes tuto moznost vyskusat ako prvu). Ze vraj niektore zariadenia sposobuju chyby (error -71) pri pouziti tejto prvej schemy a prave prikazom echo Y > ... si vynutis aby sa pouzila druha schema. Po restarte systemu bude zmena v subore old_scheme_first stratena ale to by nemalo vadit ak to nepomoze.
Dalej mozes vyskusat pripojit HDD bud za behu PC (resp. OS) alebo pri vypnutom PC.

Priznam as ze uz neviem co by mohlo vyriesit problem s USB pripojenim. Skusal si Firewire aj vo Windows ? Ak je tvoj Firewire radic podporovany v Linuxe, musis mat zavedene potrebne moduly pre jadro.
