PC is strong only in Online Revenues, MMORPGs subscription. This part of the game revenue segment is still expanding. It was around $7 billion last year. But how they will use those money? Will they boost non-MMO PC game market? I really doubt that. I can now remember just two A titles for PC only - Starcraft 2 soon, Diablo 3 next year maybe. Well its not PC only ... its PC and Mac.
If we talk bout PC games in big picture again US only:
PC Games Revenues - boxed ones
2005 - ~$960 mil
2006 - ~$970 mil
2007 - ~$910 mil

"The first six months of 2008 show unprecedented software revenue growth thanks to just Wii, Xbox 360 & PS3, plus DS account for ?690 million of the total. In stark contrast, PC games software suffered a hefty decline, with revenue of ?48 million (3.9m units sold) – down 29 percent on last year’s ?68 million."

So fact is that PC game sales revenues are not that perfect. If you check again TOP 10 in 2007, just 4 games from 10 wasnt Sims or WoW.
But you are right in one thing. Online revenues is way to go for PC at this moment.
