BitFenix Raider: moderní middletower

Naposled jsme si z nabídky firmy BitFenix představili netradiční model skříně Outlaw a nyní přichází řada na Raider, což je již tradičně vypadající, ale slušně vybavený Middle Tower. Uvidíme, zda nás bude mít čím zaujmout, ale o tom až v samotné recenzi.

BitFenix Raider je bezesporu moderní skříň vhodná pro moderní komponenty a přitom nás nebude stát majlant, i když cena kolem 2200 Kč může být pro leckoho už horní hranicí. BitFenix pomocí Raideru reaguje na nejnovější trendy, což ukazuje už jen zahrnutím čtyř portů USB 3.0 (můžeme je využít i pro USB 2.0) do výbavy, stejně jako jednokanálového regulátoru otáček pro až 5 ventilátorů.

Zpracování skříně a použité materiály dle mého názoru odpovídají této cenové hladině, což znamená, že nedostaneme to nejlepší, ale také nemůžeme být nespokojeni. Konstrukce skříně je i bez nasazených bočnic (ty se samy o sobě nekroutí) dostatečně pevná a ocenit musíme také snadno odpojitelné panely (horní a přední) a stejně tak filtry u spodních roštů.
Na druhou stranu jsou tu jisté věci, které bych osobně vylepšil. Jde třeba o nalepovací nožky, jež nemůžeme pevně přišroubovat, chatrné zámky u 5,25" pozic, které už ale můžeme nahradit šroubky a provedení horní diskové šachty, z níž můžeme sundat pouze jednu část. Druhá bude stále stát v cestě vzduchu od předního ventilátoru k chladiči grafické karty, což platí i pro zbytečně překážející přední rošt, i když je pravda, že zbytek oné šachty zvýší pevnost celé konstrukce.
Chlazení této skříně je tak spíše průměrně výkonné, ale zato umí být velmi tiché, což je tedy zásluha především zmíněného regulátoru otáček. Raider je tak využitelnou počítačovou skříní i pro zcela novou sestavu, ale nijak výjimečnou.

BitFenix Raider is without any doubt a modern computer chassis for modern computer hardware which will not cost a fortune, even though for someone its price may represent his/her upper limit. Through Raider BitFenix pursues the latest trends, which is supported by the four included USB 3.0 port (may be used for USB 2.0 as well) or one channel fan speed controller for up to five fans.
In my opinion, the overall quality of this case and used materials correspond with Raider's price level and that means, we don't get the best, but we also cannot be unsatified. The chassis is even without attached side panels sufficently solid and stable (the side panels themselves also don't twist) and one also should appreciate easily detachable front and upper panels as well as the bottom fans' dust filters.
On the other hand, there are also some things I would improve. One of such are the adhesive stands that may not be attached using screws and there are rather shabby plastic locks at the 5.25" shafts (these already may be replaced with screws). Moreover, the upper HDD cage could be detachable as a whole, since like this it still obstructs one of the front fans, which also goes for the front fan grill. On the other hand, the rest of the cage acts as a reinforcement for the whole case.
Raider's cooling system is rather average performing, but it can be quite silent thanks to the already mentioned fan speed controller. In final words, BitFenix Raider is a usable, but not exceptional computer case suitable for a brand new computer.
